Librarian - Jenny Regier
Jenny is currently the Library Director for the Cherokee City-County Library in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Jenny has served in libraries since the Fall of 2011. Before coming to Cherokee, she served in the Vance Air Force Base Library, the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County, and Glenwood Elementary Library, all in Enid, Oklahoma. Jenny earned her Masters in the winter of 2010 and has been a lifelong active advocate for libraries. Jenny is currently serving on several committees with OLA, including the Conference Planning Committee. Additionally, Jenny serves on the MEAC committee with PLA. Jenny has presented to a variety of groups at the local, state, and national levels. These opportunities have included several OTA/Encyclomedia presentations and a presentation at the National Council of Social Studies Teachers Conference. She has attended training at the local, state, and national levels. The highlight of her professional career, however, is spending the third Tuesday night each month with Janet Bass, co-hosting #sequoyahchat to promote the Children’s Sequoyah Booklist and its authors.
