Police Department

The Cherokee Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the City of Cherokee and provides law enforcement services to the residents & visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The primary job of the Cherokee Police Department is to maintain peace & order throughout the City of Cherokee, to respond and investigate all criminal, traffic and ordinance complaints reported by the public or observed by the officers of the department. In addition to its primary duties, the police department aids & assists the Cherokee Fire Department, Alfalfa County EMS, outside law enforcement agencies and other government agencies as needed or requested.
